At The Parking Company, we strive to provide excellent service and customer satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued for parking fees and services, along with the procedures for requesting refunds.
2. Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be considered in the following circumstances:
- System errors: When technical issues result in incorrect charges or failed parking sessions
- Double charging: When duplicate payments are processed for the same parking session
- Service unavailability: When parking facilities become unavailable due to maintenance or unforeseen circumstances
- Overcharging: When fees exceed the published parking rates due to system errors
- Unauthorized transactions: When fraudulent activities result in unauthorized charges (subject to investigation)
- Cancellation within grace period: Parking sessions cancelled within 5 minutes of initiation
3. Non-Refundable Charges
The following charges are generally non-refundable:
- Completed parking sessions: Properly completed parking sessions where services were provided
- Violation fees: Charges for parking violations, overstays, or unauthorized parking
- Convenience fees: Payment processing fees charged by third-party payment providers
- Expired sessions: Sessions that have exceeded the maximum allowed parking time
- User error: Charges resulting from user mistakes such as incorrect vehicle information or parking zone selection
- No-show bookings: Reserved parking slots that were not utilized without proper cancellation
4. Refund Process
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Submit a request: Contact our customer support team at hello@theparking.company or through the mobile app
- Provide details: Include your transaction ID, parking session details, date and time, and reason for the refund request
- Verification: Our team will verify the details and investigate the circumstances
- Decision: We will notify you of our decision within 3-5 business days
- Processing: Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days

Please note that actual refund times may vary depending on your payment method and financial institution. UPI and digital wallet refunds are typically faster than credit card refunds.
6. Refund Methods
Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original transaction:
- UPI: Refunded directly to the linked bank account
- Credit/Debit Cards: Refunded to the original card (may take 7-14 business days)
- Digital Wallets: Refunded to the wallet balance
- Net Banking: Refunded to the source bank account
7. Partial Refunds
In certain circumstances, partial refunds may be issued. For example, if a parking session is interrupted due to system maintenance after partial usage, you may receive a refund for the unused portion based on our pay-per-minute rate of ₹0.20 per minute.
8. Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with our refund decision, you may:
- Request a review by providing additional documentation
- Escalate the matter to our management team
- Contact us for mediation within 30 days of the original decision
